Former Martinsville Police Officer Gets 10 Years For Shooting Wife

Martinsville, VA -- A former Martinsville Police Officer will spend 10 years behind bars for shooting his wife.

James Scott Witherow II was found guilty earlier this year on three charges, including use of a firearm in commission of a felony, aggravated malicious wounding, and discharging a firearm in an occupied dwelling. The judge upheld the jury's recommendation for the sentencing. The charges stem from an incident on April 14th of last year.
