Forest, VA - More than 500 people have already joined a Facebook group pushing for a Chick-fil-A on Route 221 in Forest.
A Chick-fil-A representative in Lynchburg tells us the decision to open a new restaurant is made at the corporate level in Atlanta, not by local operators.
Customers, however, can play a role in that decision if they live the Chick-fil-A motto and eat more chicken.
"Really the best thing is to continue to support our local stores here at Wards Road and River Ridge Mall, even the drive-thru, and make sure that those sales and those customers are boosted here locally, so that they'll look at our area and decide if we can sustain another store," said a Chick-fil-A representative.
Chick-fil-A customers are also encouraged to fill out comment cards or call the hotline.
Positive feedback is taken into consideration when a current operator wants to expand.
