Bedford Co., VA - Plans for a geese roundup this week in a Bedford County neighborhood are on hold.
An attorney for the Lake Vista Property Owners Association was served a lawsuit, filed by 17 neighbors, who want to stop the planned killing of the geese.
The association's attorney says until Tuesday, the association was moving ahead with the plan, because they had no official notice of the lawsuit filed last week.
"That process was supposed to begin this week, because there's a small window of time while the geese are molting, when they can be rounded up," said John Falcone, the association's attorney. "They can't fly during that period."
A hearing is tentatively set for Monday, but could be postponed if the plaintiffs aren't able to be there.
