Summary: The Hawks have typically perched atop the Dogwood District but a 7-4 season dropped Gretna down a few branches. They don't plan to be there long though. They have an astounding 21 of their 22 starters back with a number of players playing both offense and defense. Quarterback Dyon Rosser returns as well. He'll continue to be a dual-threat QB and he has several playmakers to get the ball to on offense. The Hawks have a tough schedule with games against Brookville, Heritage, and Tunstall. That's on top of district games against Dan River, Altavista, and Appomattox. If they can get through that challenging schedule they should be well prepared for a Division 2 playoff run.
