Flooding Subsides in Halifax County
Halifax Co., VA - Flooding from last week's heavy rain has finally subsided.
Low-lying areas in the Riverdale neighborhood of South Boston were hit hard by the wet weather.
The intersection of Railroad Avenue and Summit Drive was submerged on Friday, but now those streets are clear for traveling.
Officials said a gauge on the Dan River bridge was used to monitor the water levels, but those levels never got high enough to cause concern for homes and businesses.
