***A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued until 8pm for Central/Southside VA******Flash Flood Watch in effect through late Thursday night***A potent cold front moves through our state during the next 24 hours. This afternoon the rain will be heavy at times, with embedded thunderstorms. Torrential downpours could lead to flash flooding. Any thunderstorms that develop could become strong to severe, containing damaging winds. The stormy weather continues through midnight. Rainfall totals will range between 1-3". By early Friday morning the rain departs the region.Friday we'll see clearing skies and lower humidity levels. Highs in the lower 70s. This weekend anticipate spring conditions to return. Saturday and Sunday are partly sunny and pleasantly cool. Highs in the lower 70s, with chilly overnight lows in the 40s. Next week starts seasonal, but starts warming back up by Wednesday.
