Friday afternoon, a cool front has stalled out over the eastern part of our state. Also an area of low pressure will develop and ride up the front. This will turn our winds from the northeast, keeping mostly cloudy skies overhead and more areas of rain possible. Some heavier rain could produce more flash flooding, however the flood threat is much lower than yesterday.
The rain chances drop off a bit heading into the weekend, with Sunday appearing to be the drier day of the two. Next week anticipate more of a typical summer weather pattern. We'll see partly sunny skies, very warm and humid conditions, with pop-up thunderstorms. Highs in the 80s to near 90.
