Five Injured in Roanoke Shooting

Roanoke, VA - An early morning shooting in Roanoke Sunday sent five people to the hospital and has investigators looking for possible suspects.

According to Roanoke Police, officers were in the area of Huntington Boulevard and Williamson Road at 2:36 a.m. when they heard multiple gunshots. The officers responded to the parking lot of the 7-Eleven store in the 3600 block of Williamson Road, and noticed a crowd leaving the area.

Officers were able to determine that the shooting was the result of a fight.

Five people were treated at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for either gunshot wounds or graze wounds.

No arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing, and officers are investigating to determine possible suspects and suspect descriptions.
