First Ever International DJ Festival in Lynchburg Brings Artists From France & Haiti

Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg is hosting the first ever International DJ Festival downtown Saturday night.

The event will feature seven DJs from Haiti and France, including DJ GETDOWN who's in the Hill City for one night only.

MG Productions and the Lynchburg Radio Group are putting on the event from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Event organizer Jack Edma, also known as Deejay Ed, says DJs will play all kinds of world music including electronic dance music and reggae.

"What they can expect is a full Haitian and French influence culturally that we'll be able to showcase here," said Edma.

"I'm really excited to play for the first ever international festival, it means that we play any kind of music. It will be a pleasure to make people dance," said DJ GETDOWN.

The Sylvain Melloul International Hair Academy{}will also put on a hair fashion show at the festival.{}

Organizers say they're expecting more than 1,000 people to come out.

There will be an afterparty at Phase 2 from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m.{}
