First-Annual Foundation for Youth Awards

Lynchburg - One-time E.C. Glass football star Ronald "BB" Shavers held his first Foundation for Youth Awards Dinner Wednesday night in Lynchburg. Among those honored were Paige Riley and Sarah Thomas of E.C. Glass as Female Athletes of the Year, Jevontae Parrish of Heritage Male Athlete of the Year, Brad Bradley of Heritage Coach of the Year and Glass Athletic Director and longtime coach Chip Berry the Sports Legend Award. Shavers, who spent 19 years in prison mainly for drug involvement, has turned his life around and has committed himself to helping today's teens stay on the right path.
