Firefighters Remove Doors to Get to Patient in Forest Crash

Bedford Co., VA - Firefighters had to remove two car doors to get a young woman out after a crash in Forest Wednesday night.

The rear-end collision happened on 221 at Mays Farm Road at around 6:45 p.m., according to the Forest Volunteer Fire Department.

After stabilizing the vehicle, it took firefighters seven minutes to take the driver's side doors off to get to the patient.

The road was closed while they worked to free her.
