Fire Crews Fight 10 Acre Brush Fire in Pittsylvania County

Pittsylvania Co., VA-- A brush fire broke out in a wooded area behind a farm in the 400 block of Dry Fork Road in Pittsylvania County on Thursday.

Blairs Volunteer Fire Department said the fire began as a controlled fire, but got out of hand, and sparked the 10 acre fire around 3 p.m.

Crews spent about three hours putting the fire out.
