Fire Causes Roof to Collapse on Pittsylvania Co. Home

Pittsylvania Co., VA - A Tuesday morning fire caused the roof of a Pittsylvania County home to collapse.

The call came in just after 8 a.m. that a home on Parker Road, just outside of Danville, was on fire.

Two people were home at the time, but they had gotten out safely when fire crews arrived.
It took just over an hour to put out the blaze.
The Red Cross is assisting the family that lived there. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
