Fire At Lynchburg's James T. Davis Paint Store

Update Saturday:

Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg fire crews responded around 8 p.m. for a fire alarm there. When they got inside, they saw a small fire in the warehouse.

Officials say some chemicals were burning, and it took them a few minutes to put the fire out.

Firefighters say the store was closed, and no one was inside.

They say there is mostly water damage to the store from the sprinkler system.

The cause is undetermined.


Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg Firefighters are on the scene of a fire at the James T. Davis Paint Store on Candlers Mountain Road Friday night. Crews were called to scene at about 8:00 p.m. about smoke coming from the roof of the building.

Firefighters have blocked off roads near the paint store. Hazmat crews have been called out as a precaution for the paint and other chemicals in the store.
