Fire at Brosville Fire Department Destroys Brand New Vehicle
Pittsylvania Co., VA - A fire at the Brosville Fire Department didn't do much damage to the building, but a new crash response truck and other equipment estimated at $400,000 were destroyed.
The fire broke out around 7:45 p.m. Thursday. It destroyed the new truck worth about $250,000and left an ambulance with minor smoke damage.
Firefighters say the damage to the ambulance does not appear bad, but they are not sure whether it is still useable.
No one was injured in the fire, but the garage door of the building was charred and there was minor damage to the interior.
State Police closed down one lane of 58 West.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
