Roanoke, VA - For the 45th year Festival in the Park in underway in downtown Roanoke.Considered the largest drawing festival in our region the festival is spending its first year in a newly renovated Elmwood Park. This is a big deal for many of the 100,000 people expected to attend the three day event as pro motors heard directly from visitors after last year's move to Riverside Park."The frustration for us was we put on a great show... it was just in the wrong place. So, we are back where we belong and everything is great. We're happy," said Skip Brown, Festival in the Park President.The party starts Friday at 5pm and then picks up Saturday morning running well into the evening. A ticket is required. Free admission is on the itinerary all day Sunday.
