Ferrum's Graduating Class of 2013 Largest in Recent Years

Ferrum, VA., - Ferrum College held its 97th annual commencement ceremonies for the class of 2013 Saturday Morning.

The graduating class of 220 was one of the largest for Ferrum in recent years.

Columbus State University President Dr. Timothy S. Mescon gave this year's commencement address. A picnic lunch on the lawn for graduates and their guests followed the ceremony.

Graduates participated in a traditional Baccalaureate service on Friday evening in Vaughn Chapel.

The service concluded with a candlelight ceremony at Hart International Plaza to symbolize the light of knowledge that the new graduates will carry forth into the world.
