Martinsville, VA - A lot of you are heading to Martinsville Speedway for the race this weekend, and now it's going to be even safer for fans.
They opened a FanCare Center to provide medical care for the thousands who will be at the Speedway.
The Martinsville Speedway has teamed up with the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.
Since September, they are the official onsite care providers, and this will be the first Cup Series race with this partnership.
So, if a fan is at the Speedway receives a minor to moderate injury they can go to this center for help. If the injury is serious, they will be stabilized at the FanCare Center and transported to the Hospital.
The center is located outside of turn four.
President of Martinsville Speedway Clay Campbell says the safety of the fans is very important to the Speedway, and this is an extension of helping with the fan experience.
"It's big for us. Obviously we take the safety of all of our patrons and guests on the property serious. To have the level of service that Memorial Hospital will provide, that's a big step for us," said Campbell.
They hope by having this center the fans will be able to get the help they need and then get back to enjoying the race. The center will be open all weekend.
