Campbell Co., VA - A Halifax County family is hoping for closure after a man was charged with the murder of a missing woman.
52-year-old Jeffrey Wright of Campbell County was indicted for second degree murder in the death of Wendy Francis.
Francis went missing more than two years ago.
Francis's family held a press conference Wednesday afternoon in Halifax County.
Wendy's father described the mental and physical stress they have been through over the last two years - hoping and praying that Wendy would one day come back home.
Her family had been working with Save The Next Girl to get information out about her disappearance.
But after months of waiting, they are now focused on getting justice for her death.
Wendy's mother says she had been living with Wright for a short time before she disappeared.
Wright is already serving jail time in connection to a December incident in which a woman was badly hurt at his home.
Wendy's father says he hopes the person that hurt his daughter will feel the same pain that he feels. "He could have just walked away he didn't have to do that," says Beadles
Wendy's body has not been found.
Her mother says her next hope is that Wendy can be brought home for a proper burial.
