Family Loses Home in Roanoke Fire, No Injuries

Roanoke, VA - Firefighters in Roanoke are still on the scene of a house fire they say was a big challenge Friday morning.

They responded to the home in the 2000 block of McVitty Road Southwest about 8:30 a.m.

Officials say crews had a hard time reaching the fire because it's at the end of a long driveway, and the freezing temperatures made it difficult for firefighters.

One firefighter was treated for minor injuries, and three people who live in the home are displaced.

There is no word on the cause.
