Family Fun Days Carnival Kick Off New School Year
They're throwing a carnival for the whole community. It's called Family Fun Days. It kicked off this evening at the church parking lot on Riverside Drive.
This is the fourth year they've held the event and the pastor said it usually draws around 3,000 people every year. The best part of it is that it's all free. There are plenty of rides, contests, giveaways and much more.
"We've got a rock wall, we've got inflatables, we've got vendors, we've got carnival food; snow cones , popcorn, cotton candy. It's just an opportunity not only for us to partner with community, but give back to them," said Scott Randlett, Campus Pastor at Dan River Church.
Family Fun Days will continue on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
