One of the best outdoor music festivals is back this week, and if you love music and arts, it'll be worth the drive. Floydfest kicks off July 26 at the Blue Ridge Mountains. The four-day festival has six stages with bands playing rock, bluegrass, reggae, African drums, and world music. There also showcase arts and crafts, dance workshops, and yoga classes. You can get more information and buy tickets here.
Because of bad weather, Friday Cheers has been extended two weekends. This Friday the band Dragonfly is taking the stage. The band plays a mix of country, rock and dance music. So come show off your moves at Riverfront Park 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
On Saturday, two rock bands will be performing at Phase 2 in Lynchburg. Filter will play hits like "Where Do we Go From Here?" The band Fuel has sold over 3.5 million albums and will play the songs "Shimmer," "Innocent," and "Hemorrhage." That's on until midnight, and tickets are $22 in advance.
