Appomattox, VA - The man accused of killing his estranged wife at an Appomattox gas station earlier this year waived the right to his preliminary hearing Thursday. Aubrey Evans, III, 69, is charged with the first degree murder of Laura Evans, 45. Investigators say on January 31, Evans shot Laura at the Marathon gas station. He was arrested a few days later in Washington County, near Bristol. This case will go before a grand jury on June 3.
