Eden, NC - Eden, North Carolina's sewer overflowed twice into the Dan River last month.
The overflow left thousands of gallons of wastewater in the city's water system.
Representatives from Danville's water and wastewater treatment plant want everyone to know the spill should not harm drinking water, however.
The plant's director, Barry Dunkley, says thanks to all of the rainfall we've had lately, there is no detection of the overflows.
Dunkley says they closely monitor the water quality when these overflows occur.
