E.C. Glass Volleyball Beats Heritage 3-1 & More Scores

Lynchburg - Alyssa Morris and Kelsey Plankeel had 12 kills each as E.C. Glass beat cross-town rival Heritage 3-1 Tuesday night in high school volleyball.

Heritage tied the match at a game apiece by winning game two 25-22, but Glass then won games three and four to clinch the win. The Hilltoppers improve to 3-6 overall, 2-1 in the Seminole District.

Also in volleyball, Altavista blanked Appomattox County 3-0, Sydney Morris led the Colonels with 10 kills and four blocks. Keyla Jones had five kills, two aces and a block for the Raiders.

Roanoke Catholic beat V.E.S. 3-0. Brooke Bentley had 14 digs, Hannah Montgomery seven kills for V.E.S.

Boys soccer, Carlisle defeated Holy Cross 2-0, Kizza Edward had both goals for Carlisle.

Field hockey, Lynchburg won at Washington & Lee 3-0, LC head coach Enza Steele gets career coaching win number 499. Steele goes for 500 this Saturday at 4 at home against York College of Pennsylvania.

And high school golf, Jefferson Forest won the seventh and final leg of Seminole District golf Tuesday at Colonial Hills by five shots. But E.C. Glass won the overall season championship by 17 shots.
