Lynchburg - Monday afternoon at the Awareness Garden in Lynchburg, the E.C. Glass football team presented a 500 dollar check to the Awareness Garden Foundation to go towards a scholarship for a student entering a cancer-related field or a student whose life has been touched by cancer. The team has been selling pink Glass t-shirts to support Hilltoppers football and bring about cancer awareness.
Kay Vaughan with the Awareness Garden Foundation said "I think it's great when any of the area schools, the athletes, do this sort of thing. So hope it's catching, hope it's passed on, and all the young people get involved."
