Lynchburg, VA - After a lot of hard work, Lynchburg's EC Glass High School Chamber Choir has raised enough money to get to Carnegie Hall in April. The group is one of only five schools picked to perform at the prestigious music hall.
They first set out to raise $60,000 but then scaled back their plans-- with a cheaper hotel and one less night. After numerous fundraisers and tremendous community support, they hit their new goal of $36,000.
"To be singing in Carnegie Hall is just absolutely one of the best opportunities to have as a singer, performer, or in general,"said Junior Choir Member Isabella Jackson. The students are having two more fundraisers, one Saturday morning, a car wash at Doyle's Florist and one Monday.
