Lynchburg - E.C. Glass rallied from an 11-8 third quarter deficit to beat Salem 14-11 in boys lacrosse Tuesday night in Lynchburg.
Salem came into the game undefeated at 7-and-0 and led the Hilltoppers 11-8 before Glass stormed back. The Hilltoppers scored the final three goals of the third quarter to tie the game at 11 entering the final 12 minutes.
And Glass dominated the final quarter, shutting out Salem 3-0. Hilltoppers goalie Brian Davies had some big saves for Glass. Daniel Kosowski and Hunt McCarthy led Glass scoring with four goals each. The Hilltoppers improve to 8-and-1 overall, undefeated in the Jefferson District. Salem suffers its first loss of the year, dropping to 7-and-1 overall, and first defeat in the district.
