East Boys Beat West 119-110 in All-Star Hoops

Lynchburg - Floyd County's Caleb Tanner poured in a game-high 25 points, but the East All-Stars broke open a tight game late to outscore the West 119-110 in the Virginia High School Coaches Association boys basketball game Monday night at Lynchburg College.

Tanner earned West MVP honors. Former Lord Botetourt star Justin Goode added 20 points for the West. Kadeem Wright of Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond led the East with 22 points and earned East MVP honors.

The West led the East 30-22 after the first quarter before the East pulled within one at the half 54-53. The West again stretched the margin back to seven at the end of three, but the East outscored the West by 16, 39-23, in the final quarter to claim the victory.
