Buckingham's Kenneth Johnson scored from nine yards out in the first quarter to give the East a 7-0 lead. Terrence Dingle of Denbigh added a second quarter one-yard quarterback keeper to increase the lead to 14-0 with just over three minutes left until halftime.
The West, though, got on the board about two minutes later, Hayden Bauserman of Central Woodstock lays it up in the corner of the end zone for Brookville's Ben Hogg who made a tough catch as the West pulled within 14-7 at the break. Hogg is headed to UVa this season as a walk-on.
The West had a great chance to tie the game in the final quarter, but the East defense stuffed Northside quarterback Dominic Dunnaville inside the one on a fourth-and-goal.
Running back Sadarius Williams of Dinwiddie County was named the East Offensive MVP, while Josh Gum of Central Woodstock earned East Defensive MVP. Quarterback Malik Sexton of Churchland won the West Offensive MVP award, with Brian Lipscomb of Kecoughtan earning West Defensive MVP.
