Lynchburg, VA - Dickey's BBQ Pit in Lynchburg will have its second grand opening soon.
The restaurant shut down in September after a successful five-year run on Wards Road. Next Thursday, it opens again under new owners - two brothers from Roanoke.
The new owners say the old owner wanted out of the restaurant business so he shut it down. Owners say, when Dickey's opens again, it will be the same tasty BBQ. But the style of service will have a new flavor.
"Same concept. It's a little bit different in that it's a "move with the food" concept, versus before, you would come in, order your food, sit down and they'd bring it to your table. Now, customers can get in and out just a little bit quicker," said Stuart Abbitt, co-owner of Dickey's BBQ Pit.
The restaurant opens to the public next Thursday, February 28. The official grand opening will be announced at a later date.
