Update: Mall Threat Apparently a Hoax

Lynchburg Police say the call came in at 6:52 last night. After evacuating the building, they assisted mall security in trying to find it, but they didn't find anything and don't believe there was a device. Right now they are following leads to try and track down the person who made that call.

Lynchburg, VA- The River Ridge Mall was evacuated at around 7:30 Sunday night due to a bomb threat.

Officials do not know if the threat is legitimate, or if there is any real danger. The mall was evacuated as a precautionary measure.
