DeHart Sentenced To 25 Years For Crime Spree
Christiansburg, VA - A Montgomery County man responsible for a five month crime spree in Montgomery County - that culminated in a high speed interstate chase and manhunt - will serve 25 years in prison.
Edward DeHart, 50, of Riner, was convicted of 21 felonies in relation to the crime spree which revolved around the theft of tools from construction sites.
DeHart led authorities on a car chase that ended near Radford in August 2011. It was the last of several pursuits, over previous days, involving DeHart and stolen vehicles.
DeHart also faces charges in Pulaski and Giles Counties.
Judge Robert Turk sentenced him to 75 years but suspended 50.
