Martinsville - Danville's Timothy Peters is having a great season in the Camping World Truck Series.
Peters, who won his second pole of the season and finished seventh this past Saturday at Martinsville, is third in the points race heading to Texas this Friday night. Peters has two poles and two wins this year. He's only four points behind second-place Ty Dillon, 25 behind leader James Buescher with three races left. And Peters likes his chances Friday at Texas.
Timothy Peters, #17 RED HORSE RACING TUNDRA, said "We've got a brand new truck chassis, 007, how cool is that. Got fresh power from Joe Gibbs engines and, by the way, they're awesome all week long. My hats off to them so I don't want to leave them out. So we're going to Texas with a completely new package, you know, from the front to the back bumper. And uh, better look out."
