Danville - Danville's Timothy Peters had a great season in the Camping World Truck Series this year.
Peters, in just his fourth full season on the circuit, finished second in points, only six behind champion James Buescher. Peters won two races, two poles and posted 10 Top 5's in 22 races with crew chief Butch Hylton. Peters has already targeted where he needs to improve.
Timothy Peters, SECOND IN TRUCK POINTS THIS YEAR, said "I need to get better as a driver on mile-and-a-halfs. Our program is there but I need to polish a little bit. We ran well at the beginning of the year on mile-and-a-half tracks but towards the end of the year we lost a little bit."
Peters may have JUST MISSED a title this year, but he and his wife Sara will still be celebrating very soon.
Timothy Peters said "My championship trophy is my wife and I's first son that'll be here in less than two-and-a-half weeks. So my off-season's gonna be busy, looks like changing some diapers."
