Danville, VA -- Danville's YMCA got its last big chunk of money today for their child care center Friday. The check reads $250,000. That's the total of the three payments it's gotten from the Hughes Memorial Foundation. That money will create a child care center for kids to do after-school activities and attend summer camps.
"I think it just gives families and parents another opportunity to get involved in the YMCA. Not only do we have the health and wellness aspect of the YMCA but youth development is such an important piece to the YMCA," said Sarah Folmer, CEO Of Danville YMCA.
The new building is set to open in September.
