Danville Utilities Plans Power Outage Wednesday for Downtown Sections
Danville, VA - Danville Utilities has scheduled an electric outage at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, that will affect customers in sections of Union, Spring and Main streets. Service also will be interrupted to traffic signals at the intersections of Main and Union streets and Spring and Union streets.The outage duration should be less than two hours. Power should be restored prior to 8 a.m.Customers affected by the outage will receive prior notice.During the outage, Danville Utilities power and light employees will be entering manholes on Spring Street at Union Street, the former Downtowner vault, and the manhole at Main and Union streets.Vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be routed around the manholes while activities are under way.
