Danville to Celebrate Independence Day With Plenty of Activities

Danville,VA-- Independence Day is just around the corner, and if you live in Danville you have plenty of ways to celebrate next week.

Danville Parks and Recreation just came out with their list of activities going on, on July 3 and 4.

On the 3rd, they'll be concert, along with the Danville Braves baseball game, and fireworks in the evening. On the 4th, there'll be a race at Angler's Park, the farmer's market will be open, and there will be a pie baking contest.

The grand finale will be the big annual fireworks display at the Carrington Pavilion

"The fireworks show is great," said Russell Carter, Danville Parks and Recreation Communication Specialist. "If you can't come to the Carrington, usually if you're kind of somewhat in town, you can see it. It's up there, it's pretty long, I think we have a great show this year, they're telling me it's going to be the best show we've had so it's certainly something you don' want to miss."
