Danville, VA - The Danville Historic Society had their 40th annual Holiday Tour this weekend.
The society is dedicated to preserving historic buildings in Danville.
This year's tour included two homes with 11 other historic sites in the downtown area.
The crowd favorite this year was the Penn-Wyatt home on Main Street. Most people who are familiar with the street said the home is the grandest home on Millionaire's row.
The Historic Society says the tour is a good chance to see how an old building can still look good as new once they are taken care of.
"We have put an emphasis on the downtown area and the tobacco warehouse district just to encourage people to come down and see what's happening. And how you can take an old building and turn it into something brand new," said Danville Historic Society President Sarah Latham.
The money raised from the tour will help preserve historic structures in the Danville area.
