Danville Regional Medical Center Donates $100,000 to Danville Family YMCA

Danville, VA - The Danville YMCA got a big donation on Wednesday in support of the expansion to their new building by the Dan River.

Danville Regional Medical Center presented them with a $100,000 check which will go toward the Y's new wellness center. This donation is the fourth installment of a $500,000 sponsorship for the wellness center.
Officials from DRMC toured the room for first time on Wednesday. The 5000 square feet space will have 100 pieces of workout equipment.
DRMC said their partnership with the Y is a perfect way to promote health and wellness in the region.
"We'll have our physical therapy department here on the first floor of this building. It's a great transition for people who go through physical therapy," said Eric Deaton, CEO of Danville Regional Medical Center.
Construction on the new YMCA is expected to be complete by September.
