Danville Police Still Searching for Missing Woman

Danville, VA - Kathy Keeling, 57, went missing last week, and police hope you can help them locate her.

After police searched her apartment and found all of her personal items inside, Keeling has been listed as endangered missing.

Police say an employee at her apartment complex located on Bridge Street reported her missing.
The employee says that she had not been living there very long and police say she has no family in the area. She was last seen in the apartment parking lot and walking near a creek that leads into the Dan River.
The Danville Life Saving Crew searched the river for Keeling Wednesday but didn't find anything that could help in their search.
The police say they wanted to be cautious before going public with information about Keeling because they first had to be sure that the circumstances were indeed cause for concern.
"Once you turn 18 you can basically go anywhere you want to go. So we had to get all this together and make sure no family members had talked to her or anything before we could actually put her through the system, " said Lt. Scott Eanes with Danville Police.
Keeling has no known medical conditions.
If you have any information on her whereabouts please contact the Danville police department at 434-799-5111.
