Danville Playground Will Be Rebuilt After Fire

Danville, VA - The playground that caught fire in Danville and was ruined just a few days ago will be rebuilt.

The superintendent for Danville City Schools says the equipment at Johnson Elementary School will be replaced soon.

The playground was insured.

An inspection must first be done on the mulch chips and surrounding soil to make sure it is safe for the children before they rebuild.

The fire started just after 6 p.m. Sunday.

Right now fire officials don't know what caused it but do say it's suspicious.
