      Danville Organization Gives More Than $600,000 In Grants

      Danville, VA - The Community Foundation of the Dan River Region gave more than $600,000 in grants to community agencies in our area Tuesday.

      Forty-two non-profits organizations were chosen.

      The largest grant, worth $90,000, went to the Arc of the Southside Hatcher Center, to provide service to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

      Other groups that got $20,000 or more include the Danville Fire Department, the Boys and Girls Club, and God's Storehouse.
