Danville, VA-- The Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History has been in operation for almost 4 decades, now they've outgrown their space in the Sutherlin Mansion.
They expanded to an old home opposite the museum. They call it their research center.
They moved their library from the museum over there. The building also provides office space and a place for group meetings.
"Well, one thing that's really nice about the building is that it's able to continue the presence in the historic district, and the maintenance of the building and keeping it looking nice in the neighborhood," said Cara Burton, Executive Director of Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History.
Another plus, the museum now has more space to display exhibits. The research center is open to the public by appointment.
