Danville Man Starts Fund to Help Save Homes
Danville, VA-- One man in Danville raised enough money to save a home his wife inherited. Now, it's his mission to help save other people's homes.
Chad Adams' mother-in-law died back in July and he was starting to miss the mortgage payments on her home. It was his mother in law's wish that they kept the home, so he started the Kim W. Cobb Memorial Fund in honor of her.
Adams says he knows several people who are in the same situation he was in, and wanted to do something about it.
"We were fortunate enough to save our home," Adams said. "I think there's a lot of people that probably go through the same stuff so they need help too."
Adams says he mainly raises the money through yard sales and crowdfunding websites.
