Danville Man Acquitted on Counts of Indecent Liberties With Minor

Danville, VA - A Danville man has been found not guilty on 20 counts of indecent liberties with a minor.

James McLaughlin Jr. was acquitted Wednesday in Pittsylvania County Circuit Court.

The Danville Adult Detention Center Employee had been accused in June of exposing himself and performing a sex act in front of an underage girl over a two year period.

The commonwealth's attorney says the young girl did take the stand during the trial.

But the jury only deliberated a short time before finding McLaughlin not guilty on all charges.
