Danville Joins in 'Wreaths Across America'

Danville, VA - Hundreds of people in Danville also gathered Saturday to remember fallen soldiers.

A group met at the Danville National Cemetery to take part in 'Wreaths Across America'.

During the ceremony, wreaths were dedicated to each branch of the armed forces.

Afterwards, people placed ceremonial wreaths on 160 headstones in the graveyard.

"It's all about these lives that we see represented in these headstones. It's about recognizing the price that some of them paid and all of them were willing to pay," said Tony Turner.

This was the 5th year Danville took part in 'Wreaths Across America'.
