Danville, VA-- The River District Development Project has brought some transformation to downtown Danville recently, and city officials want to keep the public informed about them.
The city of Danville held a meeting at the Community Market on Thursday, night to update stakeholders and the public on the River District Development Project.
They gave updates on the construction on Main Street, and the new Gateway Plaza. Parking, economic development and design guidelines were also topics of discussion.
"We always want to keep the public informed about what's happening," said Ken Larking, Danville City Deputy City Manager. "They can see what's going on. They know that we're working on Main Street and near Jake's, but they don't know how long things are going to take and they don't know when it's going to be completed."
