Danville Braves Stay Alive, Beat Johnson City 6-1

Johnson City, TN - The Danville Braves won 6-1 at Johnson City Thursday night to stay alive and force a third-and-deciding game Friday night for the Appalachian League Championship.

Danville broke open a 1-all game by scoring four runs in the fifth. Ozhaino Albies drove in the go-ahead run, then Jordan Edgerton added an rbi double to make it 3-1. Next batter Tanner Krietemeier blasted a two-run homer to right to balloon the lead to 5-1.

Danville's Mike Dodig added a solo homer in the 8th to close out the scoring and cap the 6-1 win. It's winner-take-all for the Appalachian League Championship Friday night in Johnson City.
