Danville Beats Princeton 8-5 to Win Series

The Danville Braves advanced to the Appalachian League Championship Series with Monday night's 8-5 win at Princeton.

It was Danville's second-straight win over the East Division regular season champions and powers the D-Braves into the title series.

Tanner Krietemeier had a two-run double in the second to give Danville its first lead. The Braves took a 3-1 advantage only for Princeton to strike back with three runs in the bottom of the second to regain the lead 4-3.

Danville, though, scored three in the fourth, two in the seventh to help put the game away. Danville will face the winner of the Elizabethton/Johnson City series for the league championship.
